Living the way you're supposed to.

Updated: Aug 3, 2023

What's Life? If you ask me, it's just existing. Being present at the moment, not thinking about the past or the future. Just being where you're supposed to be and with the people, you're supposed to be with.

We all live a unique life, each one different from others in unique ways. Everything you do, everything you did, or everything you choose to do is unique. You literally can never compare yourself to someone else for any reason whatsoever. Just like other rules nature has forced upon us, not comparing to others is one of them. It's important to live the way you love and love the way you live. There are 8 billion people on this planet, rather than finding someone that could care for you and love you more than anyone else, find yourself, care for yourself, and love yourself more than anyone else. It will change everything. There are 8 billion people on this planet, how many of them are you gonna compare to yourself? There are 8 billion people on this planet. How will you decide who lives the best life among them? Do you have any protocol whatsoever? Any kind of system or a convention that decides who lives the best? If you answer yes to any of those questions, I bet you fail the "I'm not a robot" questions on websites.

You Only Live Once, or YOLO as everybody likes to call it, it's true. You are born once, you die once. There are only 2 days in your life that aren't 24 hours. The day you were born and the day you will die. You have one life, there are no retakes, no rewind, and no replays. So, live it the way you want to. It makes literally zero difference to the world but it is all that matters when it comes to you. Someone might find happiness in a 1 BHK apartment, someone in a 4, and someone wouldn't be satisfied with a mansion. There are no limits. It all comes down to what makes the most difference to you. It all comes down to you. The way you choose to live your life is the best way of living your life.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking you to sleep in all day and do nothing. I'm asking you to do what you love. Do what you care about, and do it for the people you care about, in a way that will help you bring out the best version of yourself and the people around you. Because I said it once and I will say it a hundred more times, it is all that matters.

I read once in 'Who will cry when you die' by Robin Sharma that his dad says to him, "Son, when you were born, you cried while the world rejoiced. Live such a life that, when you die, the world cries, while you rejoice". The last three words are very important, they make the whole difference. While you rejoice. It's important that you feel satisfied, content, and happy, no matter what you end up at. You might live a normal life, you might influence thousands of people, or you might be one of the greatest people alive, but if you're not happy on your deathbed, all your life's worth has gone to waste. You have simply achieved nothing in your entire lifespan. That's what I mean when I say do what you love and be happy.

Now, sometimes you have to do some difficult things, you have to go through rigorous training, and you have to go through mental breakdowns and depression, anxiety, stress, and everything in between. But, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. So, take that challenge with courage and a smile on your face, because all you are going to become is stronger and happier. When life gives you lemons, make the best ever lemonade anyone has ever had and drink it with a big smile on your face. That's the key to life. Live the way you want to, face the difficulties that come in between, and come out stronger than ever before.

"Memento mori - Remember your death. Let us prepare our minds as if we'd come to the very end of life. Let us postpone nothing. Let us balance life's books each day. The one who puts finishing touches on their life each day is never short of time. "- Seneca.
