The beauty of life around us. What and why we miss everyday.

Updated: Aug 3, 2023

We wake up, we do what we're supposed to, we do what we regret doing, we're happy, sad, joyful, motivated, lazy, tensed, stressed, depressed, and whatever feelings we feel. But why? Why can't we just look outside, just see, hear, feel? We're tangled in our minds 24/7. We let thoughts come in, we let them crash all the walls of our mind, we let them swim all the rivers, we let them sail all the oceans, we let them fly over all the seas, we let them do whatever they want. But, what does it get us? Sometimes happiness, sometimes sadness, sometimess joy, sometimes sorrow, sometimes motivation, sometimes laziness. Why don't we just let the environment sink in?

That's a very good question to ask ourselves. Honestly, at a time like this, I would say that's the best question to ask ourselves.

We wake up, scroll social media, watch people do this, do that, or we just study, work for ourselves, work for someone else, work because you have to, work because you want to, whatever it may be. We're ungrateful, were oblivious, we're stupid, dumb, unsatisfied, and everything that we actually aren't and everything we shouldn't be.

Life is fast, if you don't let the moment sink in, you lose it. You can never live it again. Never. We're always stuck in the past or the future. We're always thinking about what happened or what is going to happened. Unless it's gonna affect our futures, we don't think about what's happening. The present is underrated. There's so much we can do at this particular moment but we choose to do one thing which is not live it. What I'm trying to say is, just live in the moment. Be grateful that you're breathing. Be grateful that you have the accessories to read this blog. Be grateful that you have a family, that you have friends to talk to. Be grateful that you are fine. Be grateful that you are in perfect health. Be grateful about what you have and how you have it. Because whatever you have is very rare, not a lot of people have it. There are 8 billion people in this world and there's no one like you. Not a single soul. You are the only kind to exist. Why not be happy about that. No matter how much you search, you'll never find an exact replica of yourself. NEVER.

Isn't that beautiful?

You're walking down the road and there are so many people crossing you every minute. Everybody has their own stories, their own problems, their own everything. Just like you. We have so much in common but we are so different in every way. Everything around us is paradoxical. On the train, on the metro, on the flight, everybody has their own stories. Everybody is just like you. Travelling to work, travelling home from work, visiting their friends, relatives, colleagues, going on vacations, etc. In a way, they're just like you. Even if we keep the people aside, there is so much to look at. Have you ever just looked at a ceiling, out of a window, outside the door, at the floor? Just look. Take the surroundings in. I might sound stupid or dumb but there's reasons behind why I am saying this. I do that all the time.

Stare at the clouds, stare at the stars, stare at the trees, stare at the birds, just observe around you. Observe what everybody else is upto. Observe whatever moves around you. Don't think about anything. Don't judge anything. Don't lay your opinions about anything. Just observe. As if you have no brain. As if you have no computational capabilities. Try it sometimes. Play your favourite songs. Listen to every layer. Don't try to understand. Just listen. Don't try to behave human.

Listen to the birds chirping, listen to the dogs barking, listen to the wind rushing by your ears. Listen to the raindrops dripping. Feel the sun on your face, feel the warmth. Feel the cover of the atmosphere over your head.

Stay where you are. Stand still. Bring everything to a halt. Switch off your phones. Cut off from any disturbance. Cut off from anything that will bring thoughts. Cut off from the future. Cut off from the past. Let the past go, let the future come. But let the present be felt. Feel your presence. Among a hundred billion stars, on a blue ball floating through the void of space into the void of space. The Earth knows no destination, the Sun knows no routes. The earth blindly follows the Sun and the Sun blindly follows the galaxy. Feel your presence among 8 billion people. Feel your presence among a million trees, a billion leaves, and a trillion molecules.

Feel your heartbeat. Feel your breath. Notice how it's colder when you inhale and warmer when you exhale. Notice your body working to it's perfection. Notice your fingers moving. Notice everything happening. Feel your legs touching the ground.

Stay away from the desires, stay away from the daily problems, stay away from the issues you face, stay away from the outrages you've had, stay away from the awards you've won, stay away from the failures you've faced, stay away from the things you've said, stay away from the insults you've faced. For a brief moment, stay away from what makes you think. Intake the beauty of your surroundings.

Watch the clouds moving, watch the Sun settling, rising. Watch the moon. Watch everything you can. You are moving at 1200 km/hr. All the time, every second, ever millisecond, you are moving as the Earth. Outside of this, there's nothing. Everything you know, everywhere you've been to, everyone you will meet, all the time you spend will be here. On Earth. In this small planet.
